Who we are

Chesspert is a small site with one job: helping beginners, casual players, and parents make good chess decisions without wading through forum arguments or hundred-item listicles.

We're club-level players and chess parents, not grandmasters — and that's deliberate. We remember what it's like to not know which first book to buy, which opening to learn, or whether a "tournament size" board will actually fit the kitchen table. Our guides answer the questions we had ourselves.
